For me, this was a good activity in creating meaning from pictures. I felt like I was doing the caption contest for the New Yorker. I think kids would LOVE this at any age. Very, very engaging!
I also liked your story concept and the targeting of all ages. Jenna was commenting that this program, using one artist, is designed for authors to write their stories "backwards" where you choose your artist and then fit your story around the artwork available. I am wondering if after you came up with the idea, you allowed the pictures to guide you through your story. I loved your artist choice - very appealing to all with some fantastic humor.
